We offer tutoring services in UK boarding schools
Boarding schools – private educational institutions that operate on an all-inclusive basis, offering children a programme of education, accommodation and meals, extracurricular activities, education, medical care and entertainment.
Accommodation and infrastructure
British boarding schools are well-equipped and equipped for a comfortable and safe stay for children. Most of them are located in a separate, enclosed area and provide students with everything they need. For accommodation, there are several residences called "Houses", similar to the example of faculties in universities. Each house has its own supervisors, clubs, coat of arms, colour and other attributes.
There are sports facilities, fields for team sports, swimming pools, and multifunctional playgrounds on the territory. A good boarding school must have its own medical facilities, a dining room with a chef and a team, and a laundry. As a rule, parents study the rating and conditions of their child's stay at a boarding school on their own.
The choice of a school in the UK is based on the school:
1. Future goals
It is useful to understand in advance which universities your child is going to apply to - this will allow you to narrow down the list of British schools immediately.
2. Location.
For example, in a densely populated centre or in a separate spacious area. In the south or closer to snowy Scotland.
3. Ranking.
Is it important for you to get into an elite school with its own rules and high expectations of students?
4. Budget.
Closely related to the ranking, and starts from £26,000 if we are talking about British boarding schools.
5. Interests and specialisation.
Schools in England are very different and therefore some of them will be better suited to your specific interests and talents.
For our part, we can take care of it:
• Organisation of trips to British schools for excursions and introductions
• Process and time control at all stages
• Filling in the necessary forms and questionnaires
• Communication with the admission committee and school management
• Full visa support, obtaining a Tier 4child student visa
• If necessary, assistance in registering for the UKiset test and recommendations
• Help in finding and buying air tickets at the best fares
• Support and advice after you start your studies in the UK
As official representatives of the majority of British private boarding schools, we help with the free selection and organisation of admission to additional schools for our students.
I, Alexandra Kudas, the head and founder of JEWEL CAMP, will personally take all the responsibility and care of your child as a guardian at all stages of the child's adaptation in the boarding school. I will always be in touch for you and your child.
I will help you with all your questions, such as:
• Behaviour
• Education
• Adapting to new school and boarding rules
• Support for students in the first months of their stay at a boarding school
• Help with the rules for travelling to England
I will meet with you and the future student before signing the contract, answer all your questions about guardianship, the British educational system, how the recruitment process works at the school, what the situation in the country is like, etc. As a guardian, I will pick up the child from the airport in England, take care of the transfer, come to the school with the student, and get to know the tutors and teachers personally.
If necessary, I will visit the child on demand and take care of the child in case of illness. I will find out how the child's life, and if there are any difficulties, I will solve them on the spot.
The main list of required documents for a family applying for admission:
• School annual grades (report cards) for the last 2 academic years + quarterly/trimester grades for the current academic year
• Language certificates (preferably as recent as possible so that they are up to date). Any test will do up to 17 years of age, including IELTS, Cambridge - Cambridge tests (KET, PET, FCE, CAE), TOEFL, Rearson
• A copy of the passports
• Registration forms and school forms
• Skype interview or personal visit to the educational institution
Sometimes, in addition to the above list, children are also required to take the school's internal tests in mathematics and English to determine whether they are children are well prepared when they enter a private school.
A number of UK schools also require you to take the UKISET test before you apply.
